MONROE TWP.  — Toney Williams, 20, of Williamstown, was arrested in connection with a home invasion robbery that took place March 26 on Broadlane Road.

It was abut 2:30 in the morning when the 91-year-old female resident was startled when three males entered through a locked window, brandishing sawed-off shotguns and demanding cash, gold and drugs, said police.

The trio fled after taking jewelry, cash, credit cards and other personal items, police said.

A description of a suspect allowed investigators to quickly identify Williams as a suspect and, with the assistance of Cherry Hill Police, made a vehicle stop at about 4 p.m. Thursday, April 2. The execution of search warrants at Williams’ vehicle and residence turned up evidence and proceeds from the robbery, said police.

WASHINGTON TWP. — The Gloucester County Veteran’s Clinic service was temporarily interrupted on Monday, March 23 when it was noticed by a federal veterans clinic employee that power to the Audiology Clinic was down.

Gloucester County Sheriff Carmel Morina has announced that on March 25, Sheriff’s Officers Derek Barow and Phil Venticinque investigated and were able to arrest Joseph S. Sottile in connection with the theft of power
cable from the clinic.   

Sottile was charged with contempt of court and theft of a power wire. He was processed and released.

The wire was recovered at Camden Iron & Metal Inc. in Camden.

WOODBURY  — During the week of March 30, a Gloucester County grand jury indicted the following people:

— James J. Cooper, 35, of Woodbury, for resisting arrest on Dec. 8 in Woodbury.

— Jason D’Angelo, 36, of Mullica Hill, for attempted robbery, nine counts of robbery and 10 counts of conspiracy to commit robbery on Dec. 9, 2013, April 2, 26 and 30, May 1 and 27, June 5, July 27, Aug. 2 and 18 in 2014 in Mantua, Glassboro, Monroe and Pitman.

WEST DEPTFORD TWP.
— On March 26, Jason C. Ilgenfritz, 29, of Runnemede, was arrested on Rt. 295 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic needle, and outstanding warrants out of Camden City. He was issued summonses and turned over to the Camden County Metro Police Department for the outstanding warrants.

On March 26, Daniel J. Morris, 43, of Turnersville, was arrested on Crown Point Road  and charged with failure to notify law enforcement of an address change under the provisions of Megan’s Law, as well as outstanding warrants. He was lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility.

On March 28, Stacey D. Lee, 45, of Turnersville, was arrested on Crown Point Road for driving while intoxicated. He was issued summonses and released pending further court action.

On March 28, Walter F. Buckley, 59, of National Park, was arrested on Elberne Avenue on outstanding warrants and  was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He satisfied his bail requirements and was issued summonses pending further court action.

On March 29, Christopher J. Asquith, of Blackwood, was arrested on Crown Point Road and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a summons and released pending further court action.    

On March 31, Kevro O. Seivwright, 34, of Philadelphia, and Charmaine Forbes-Allen, 38, of Philadelphia, were arrested on Forrest Parkway. Seivwright was charged with hindering his own apprehension and Forbes-Allen was charged with hindering the apprehension of another. Both were issued summonses and released pending further court action.

On Marcjh 28, a resident of Lancing Road reported that the windows of two separate vehicles were broken while parked in the driveway.

On March 27, a Freightliner box truck valyed at $75,000 was stolen from the property of a business on Crown Point Road.

On March 30, a resident of Harker Avenue reported that assorted types of metal materials were stolen from the yard of his property. A subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Kyle Forsman, 46, of West Deptford. Investigation also revealed that Forsman was responsible for an additional theft that was previously reported on Ford Avenue. He was charged with two counts of theft and trespassing and was released pending further court action.

On March 31, a juvenile male reported that he was the victim of a robbery on Evan Court. Specifically, he advised that he had set up a transaction to buy sneakers from an unknown male through a social media account. Upon meeting the male, he turned over cash for the sneakers, however, the male took his money and forcefully retrieved the sneakers back from his possession. A brief physical struggle ensued and two additional males exited a vehicle the suspect had arrived in, at which point the complainant retreated and the males left the area with the cash and the sneakers. This investigation is ongoing.

On March 31, an employee of the Citgo gas station on Route 45 reported that an unknown male had shoplifted several packs of cigarettes from the business. The total value of the theft is $176.75.

LOGAN TWP. — The Bruce Daniels Memorial Farrier Clinic hosted by Pennsylvania Professional Farriers Association  is set to honor an icon of American horseshoeing.  

A member of the first International Horseshoeing Hall Of Fame class, Bruce Daniels passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014. The certified journeyman farrier from Mullica Hill was an industry leader who served as AFA president, secretary, board member and as a member of the American Farriers Team.

Bruce lived for many years in Mullica Hill, where 100 acres of his property has been made into a conservation preserve by the township. This preserve along Harrisonville-Ferrel Road in South Harrison was known locally for many years as Daniels’ Woods. It is one of the few large wooded tracts remaining in South Harrison. In 1992, Daniels was among 17 farriers honored in a Hall of Fame display at the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs.

The clinic will be at DREAM Park, 400 Route 130, on Saturday, April 4 starting at 9 a.m. A banquet and auction will be held from 5 to 7 p.m.

DEPTFORD TWP. — South Jersey Federal Credit Union (SJFCU) has named Sicklerville resident Deborah M. Eurillo as Director of Human Resources.

Working out of the credit union’s Deptford office, Eurillo will ensure compliance, oversee benefits programs, process all new employees, handle recruitment, and also oversee training programs.

She is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the HR Certification Institute, and is a Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).

Prior to being named as Director of Human Resources, Eurillo served as director of training at SJFCU since 2007.

Eurillo earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Barton College, in Wilson, N.C., and received a master’s degree from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology in Atlanta, Ga.

Prior to joining the SJFCU team, she worked for two years as director of school-based youth services for the Clayton Board of Education. Previously, Eurillo served for more than two years at Steininger Behavioral Care services in Cherry Hill as crisis site manager.

DEPTFORD TWP. — Ptl. Derek Mottershead has been named Officer of the Year for the Deptford police department.

The announcement was made by Police Chief William E. Hanstein, who said selections were made based on submissions by  fellow officers and performance records for 2014.

Detective John Gigante was selected Detective of the Year.

Supervisor of the Year was Detective Sgt. Frank Newkirk.

Honorable Mentions went to Patrolmen Michael Divito and Thomas Mancini and to Sergeants Kevin Clements, John Leone and David Hubert.
