PITMAN
— On 3/10/2015 at approximately 1443 hrs. – Officers responded to a residence on S. Woodbury Rd. for a suspicious incident which evolved into a burglary scene.  The resident discovered items moved around inside the residence and found broken door trim lying on the ground.  Ptl. Andrew Carson and Ptl. Marshall Pierson investigated the incident and located a male hiding inside the garage of the residence.  The male identified as Robert Bryant (44 yo) of Vineland was taken into custody and charged with burglary and trespassing.  He was released on his own recognizance with a pending court date.

— On 3/16/2015 at approximately 0838 hrs.  Ptl. Nick Barbetta conducted a pedestrian stop on Second Ave. which led to the arrest of Jonathan Gushue (34 yo) of Blackwood, NJ for active warrants and possession of a hypodermic needle.  Mr. Gushue was wanted out of Gloucester Twp. and Camden City totaling $2673.00.  He was turned over to the Camden City Metro PD for disposition on the warrants and has a pending court date in Mantua Twp. Joint Municipal Court.

— On 3/16/2015 at approximately 1200 hrs. - Ptl. Eric Weist conducted a motor vehicle stop on S. Woodbury Rd. which led to the arrest of a passenger, Matthew Celeste, (32 yo) of Pitman on an active warrant out of Camden City.  Mr. Celeste was lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility on unrelated charges stemming from a theft investigation in Pitman on 2/13/2015.

— On 3/16/2015 at approximately 1125 hrs. - Ptl. Eric Weist conducted a pedestrian stop on S. Broadway which led to the arrest of John Birmelin III (26 yo) of Pitman on an active warrant out of Glassboro for $339.00.  Mr. Birmelin was turned over to the Glassboro Police Department for disposition. 

— On 3/17/2015 at approximately 1411 hrs. - Ptl. Eric Weist conducted a motor vehicle stop on William Dalton Dr. in Glassboro which led to the arrest of the driver, Lavarr McGirt (33 yo) of Glassboro, NJ on an active warrant out of Glassboro Municipal Court for $328.00.  Mr. McGirt was released on his own recognizance with a pending court date.

— On 3/17/2015 at approximately 0826 hrs. - Ptl. Nick Barbetta conducted a Pedestrian stop on West Ave. which led to the arrest of Dale L. Garrett (35 yo) of Glassboro, NJ for hindering apprehension.  Mr. Garrett was wanted on an active warrant out of Washington Twp. for $600.00.  He was turned over to the Washington Twp. Police Department for disposition on the warrant, and has a pending court date in Mantua Twp. Joint Municipal Court for the hindering apprehension charge.

— On 3/18/2015 at approximately 1013 hrs. - Ptl. Marshall Pierson conducted a motor vehicle stop on S. Woodbury Rd. which led to the arrest of the driver, Dante Gambino (21 yo) of Glassboro, NJ on an active warrant out of Hamilton Twp. NJ for $589.00.  Mr. Gambino was released after posting partial bail with a pending court date.

— On 3/22/2015 at approximately 0127 hrs. - Ptl. Eric Weist conducted a pedestrian stop on Cedar Ave. which led to the arrest of Michael Silk (25 yo) of Glassboro, NJ on active warrants out of Camden City totaling $1,277.00.  Mr. Silk was released with a pending court date in Camden City. 

— On 3/22/2015 at approximately 0028 hrs. - Ptl. Nick Barbetta conducted a pedestrian stop on S. Woodbury Rd. which led to the arrest of Edward Marsden (34 yo) of Pitman for an active warrant out of Gloucester Twp. for $10,000.00.  Mr. Marsden was turned over to the Gloucester Twp. Police Department for disposition. 

— On 3/23/2015 at approximately 0109 hrs. - Ptl. Nick Barbetta conducted a motor vehicle stop on Delsea Dr. which led to the arrest of Francis Hearn (30 yo) of Philadelphia, PA for hindering apprehension.  Mr. Hearn was wanted on traffic warrants out of Pennsylvania.  He was issued a summons for hindering apprehension and has a pending court date in Mantua Twp. Joint Municipal Court.

— On 3/24/2015 at approximately 1227 hrs. - Ptl. Ken Decker conducted a pedestrian stop on S. Broadway which led to the arrest of Jon Sparti (28yo) of Pitman for possession of CDS.  Mr Sparti was found to be in possession of heroin and “crack” cocaine and was charged with possession of both substances.  Mr. Sparti was released on his own recognizance with a pending court date. 

— On 3/25/2015 at approximately 0827 hrs. - Ptl. Ernest Parker was patrolling in the area of S. Broadway when he was flagged down by a female at the bus stop.  The female, identified as Ashley O’Donnell denied requesting assistance and provided Ptl. Parker with a false name.  Ms. O’Donnell  was a “wanted” person out of the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department on a “No Bail” warrant and was placed under arrest.  She received an additional charge for hindering apprehension.  A male, identified as Robert Marshall Jr. (who was also on location) was taken into custody as a “wanted” person on a “No Bail” warrant out of the Gloucester County Sherriff’s Department.  Both were turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department for incarceration.
