MANTUA TWP. — The Mantua Township Fire District has joined forces with the Chick-Fil-A restaurant  in Mantua Square and Blessings in A Backpack to host a “Stuff the Fire Truck” food drive on Saturday, Dec. 13.

Donations may be dropped off at any Mantua Township school or at the Mantua Chick-Fil-A.

Until Dec. 10, the Chick-Fil-A “Eat Mor Chikin” Santa Cow will be with firefighters as they promote the food drive at local schools.

On Dec. 11, donations will be collected from the schools by the fire district.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, a fire truck will travel around the township, staffed by Santa Claus and the Chick-Fil-A “Eat Mor Chikin” Elf Cow, collecting donations.

From 3 to 7 p.m. Dec. 13, donations will be collected and the fire truck stuffed at the Chick-Fil-A in Mantua Square.

Acceptable non-perishable food items are requested, to include dry mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, gravy mix, canned gravy, canned veggies, canned fruit, canned meat, cranberry sauce, applesauce, beans, pancake mix, syrup, peanut butter, jelly, ramen noodles, soup, boxed macaroni and cheese, dried pasta, pasta sauce, Pop-Tarts®, oatmeal, cereal, granola, breakfast bars, fruit snacks, raisins, peanut butter or cheese crackers and popcorn.

Mantua Square is at 621 Woodbury-Glassboro Road, Mantua.
