GLASSBORO — A man who claimed he had a gun and wanted to “do what police are doing around the country” was arrested shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.
The man allegedly entered a store on Dalton Drive and told the employees he had a chrome-plated .45-caliber handgun, police said.
When police arrived, all three employees of the business had evacuated and told officers what had happened, said police. Officers found the man, Ronnie Giberson, 57, of Pitman, still in the business. He did not have a weapon, said police.
Giberson was charged with false public alarm and disorderly conduct, served with complaint summonses and released.
